USING YOUR TAXI ACCESS CARD IS SIMPLE
- Call one of the participating Cab/Sedan companies.
- Identify yourself as an MTA Taxi Access patron, and give your card number.
- Let the dispatcher know the time and place you wish to be picked-up, as well as your destination.
- A vehicle will be dispatched to pick you up at the agreed upon time. If your transportation is late and you have waited 20 minutes past your requested pick-up time, call back to check the status of your transportation.
Once your vehicle arrives,
- When you get into the vehicle, present your Taxi Access card to your driver. The driver will use it to electronically verify your ID.
- Upon reaching your destination, pay your driver $3.00 in cash.
- At your destination, the driver will use your card again to electronically record the payment and create a paper receipt for you.
- Your card will be returned to you along with a receipt that you will sign. (Please keep your receipts for 6 months.)
